Privacy policy
This policy covers the commonschema.com website. CommonSchema is a product of Flagbase Pty Ltd (ABN 49 686 408 668). Flagbase is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and this page explains how it handles personal information collected through the site. Last updated 15 October 2026.
Who we are
Flagbase Pty Ltd (ABN 49 686 408 668) operates this website and is responsible for the personal information collected through it. You can contact us about privacy at hello@mail.commonschema.com.
What we collect
Request information. When you load a page, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes request metadata, including your IP address, browser user agent and the page requested. We use it to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and apply rate limits to our forms.
Form submissions. When you send the wishlist or contact form we collect what you type: your name, email address, company, role, the institution or topic you ask about and your message. We store submissions in Flagbase’s internal console so a person can read and reply to them.
Bot checks. The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated traffic. Turnstile processes signals from your browser to make that decision.
Analytics. If we turn on site measurement, the site counts page views and clicks on its main links. Each event contains only a predefined page or link name, a time and a random event identifier. It sets no cookies, builds no visitor profile, and does not send your IP address or the full page address. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control switch it off. Measurement is off unless we enable it.
This site does not collect bank, energy or other account data. It has no sign-in and sets no tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry or request, to decide which providers and regions to cover next, to email you about coverage when you have asked us to, and to keep the site secure and available.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who receives it
Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts the site, runs the bot checks and receives email sent to our addresses. PlanetScale, Inc. (United States) hosts the database, on Google Cloud in the United States, where form submissions and email conversations are stored. Postmark, operated by ActiveCampaign, LLC (United States), delivers the emails we send. Each processes information on our behalf and only for these purposes, so your information is held and processed in the United States.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions while they are useful for replying to you and for planning coverage, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Request metadata is kept by Cloudflare for short periods under its own retention settings.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@mail.commonschema.com. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first so we can try to fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union
Flagbase Pty Ltd is the controller of the personal information collected through this site. We rely on our legitimate interests to operate and secure the site and to reply to enquiries you send us, and on your consent when you ask us to email you about coverage. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. Information transferred to the United States is protected by the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
