We are building a common layer for consented data.
People already have the right to move their own data between the services they use. In practice every bank, retailer and broker speaks a different dialect, and every app rebuilds the same translation. CommonSchema exists to make that translation once, in the open, with consent that people can see and withdraw.
What we believe
A customer who shares their data should know exactly which app or agent can read it, for what, and for how long, and should be able to stop it in one step.
Builders should not have to choose between depth in one country and breadth across many. One model should carry both.
Claims about data access should be literally true. We say what is in development and what is on the roadmap, and nothing more.
How we work with each region
Every region has its own framework for consented data sharing, its own standards and its own obligations. We take them one at a time, starting with Australia’s Consumer Data Right, and we publish the status of each region on the coverage page rather than in announcements.
Where a region needs local arrangements, we put them in place before we describe that region as anything other than roadmap.
